Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I currently am in network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, and most other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. I'm considered out-of-network for all other insurance plans.
For out-of-network services, payment will be due at the time of service, but I can provide you with a superbill upon request to submit to your insurance for potential partial reimbursement.
To check if you have in-network or out-of-network nutrition benefits, you should call your insurance company and ask about the CPT codes 97802 and 97803.
If my insurance does not cover sessions can we still work together?
Of course! My pricing is as follows:
Initial Session (60 minutes): $180
Follow-Up Sessions (45-60 minutes): $130
Can we meet virtually?
Yes! All sessions are currently virtual using a video chat Telehealth platform.
How long are sessions and what do they entail?
Initial sessions are typically 60 minutes. During our initial session I'll get to know you and we'll discuss your overall goals, medical history, nutrition history, and relationship with food. We'll discuss pertinent information based on what brings you in, whether it's getting started with some nutrition education for a medical condition, or diving into your relationship with food. At the end of our initial session, we'll collaboratively choose a couple of manageable goals or activities for you to work on between sessions.
Follow up sessions are typically 30-45 minutes. This is when we discuss how goals from our previous session went, discuss any successes and barriers you faced, potentially discuss new nutrition topics, and set new goals for going forward.
How often will we meet?
This depends on the person and their needs, but typically to start I see clients every other week. Some clients prefer to meet weekly for extra support and some people prefer once a month if they are working on overall smaller goals.
